This is a basement finishing job for a client in a new construction home. The goal was to have a bedroom, office, sewing room, main area, sitting room for existing fireplace, utility room which doubled as a exercise room too. Bathroom, in this case, was pre-existing. Did our best to maximize closet storage areas and yet, not have it so 'boxy' looking. Home owner opted to be responsible for the flooring.

New three quarter bathroom in basement consisting of black lacquer vanity with glass door and brushed nickle fixtures. Sea foam green glass top. We maximized space by moving the back wall 2 feet and relocating the hot water heater. With the low ceiling height, we used a flush mount drop ceiling system. We had furred the ceiling to cover as much of the existing plumbing from the action going on upstairs. There was the kitchen and two bathrooms above this bathroom. Floor is a recycled rubber made into mats.

Took a plain builders main level bathroom, fully gutted it. Made it larger and then personalized it just for him. Hence I call this His Bathroom

Plan here was to enlarge the existing floor plan and update bathroom. Space was tight and limited. The homeowner had already pre-selected his fixtures from Kohler - Sterling via Fergusons

Here we have another finished egress window featuring a tan Rockwell egress window well and an almond 5 foot Pella vinyl sliding window. This unit has the optional cover installed. When I talked to the homeowner about an egress window system I suggested to go this route versus a standard and she will not be disappointed. I was right, they totally love the aesthetics and natural light it brings into the room and it fits the general decor of the outside landscaping. They want another one!

This home, we replaced all the existing windows with Pella Proline® Enduraclad® Windows. These were new construction windows custom made to fit into existing frame.

Not your typical front entry door and screen door replacement. These were custom sized in height to fit existing home in Cherry Valley, IL. Steel door had a custom jamb width too.

Aim here was to install a patio door where a window used to be. I also tore down the closet area in the hallway to the garage and built new closets on the wall adjacent to where I installed the patio door. Fitted maple hardwood to match existing where old closet used to be.

This little gem was actually the outside entrance to the basement. Tore it down and built it to resemble a picture the homeowner supplied. Now he has a full size door and storage to boot hence I call it an attached shed

Took and old porch that was sagging with some of the decking rotted, Post & rails were shot too. Aim was to renovate this porch keeping the aesthetics of the home while remaining cost effective. Due to the joists being old 2×4′s, a complete rebuild of deck and railing was in order and Yes, up to code.

This porch renovation project consisted of replacing the decking, sistering a few joists, jacking it up a bit, replacing outer skirting and building the missing railing system.

We removed a wall between dining area and kitchen to create an open floor plan. We rearranged the layout and added a few new cabinet pieces. Installed new countertops and flooring. Existing cabinets were refinished

My painter buddy called me up one day and asked if I would come deal with this siding and window rot. These alterations were done by the late husband of the homeowner. There was more than just a rotted window and some goofed up siding. Needless to say, we dealt with it and fixed the front to make it look like it has always been that way. Then we basically rebuilt the side wall of the converted porch, installed a new window, cedar siding, rewired the inside to code, insulated, new drywall versus the existing paneling and a new ceiling. It wasn’t a complete rebuild, but close.

Here I got a call to finish trimming this addition opening out, Upon removing the botched trim, I discovered the header and lintel wasn't right or code. So I made it right and trimmed opening to give it a nice finished look. Homeowner was very pleased with the result.
